Laboratory and Public Health Diagnostics

Establishing a comprehensive National Health Laboratory System with the adequate network of laboratory infrastructure and workforce that provides the framework for coordinated development and delivery of accessible, quality public health laboratory services countrywide is critical. This laboratory data contributes to effective prevention and control of priority diseases and will help the Ministry of Health manage potential public health emergencies of international concern (PHEICs), according to requirements of the International Health Regulations 2005 (IHR).
